History
As a young boy, when David Putnam first visited a new home construction site with his father, he was immediately taken with the business. As he watched his uncle pull a wood hammer from his leather tool belt and drive a nail deep into a stud, he remembers thinking, “My uncle has the best job in the entire world.”
While Stone Aspen Signature Builders would not exist for many more years, David believes that the company — at least in spirit — was born that day. Years passed and in 1978 David was able to enter the world of residential construction.
When David was building homes in the mid 1980’s, his son, Brian Putnam, first became familiar with home building by cleaning David’s construction sites. During that time, Brian learned the meaning of work and like his father before him, developed a passion for home building.
Today, David and Brian build a limited number of luxury custom homes each year on premier Colorado home sites. And they especially enjoy working with discerning homeowners who require old world craftsmanship with modern comfort and functionality.
