History

It’s been more than five decades since David Putnam visited a construction site with his father, and watched his uncle pull a wood hammer from his ragged leather tool belt to drive a nail through a stud, which would eventually become part of someone’s new custom home.  David remembers thinking  “…my uncle has the best job in the entire world.”

Although Stone Aspen Signature Builders would not exist for many more years, David believes that the company — at least in spirit — was born that day. Years passed and in 1978 David was able to enter the world of residential construction.

While David was building homes in the mid 1980’s, his son, Brian Putnam, first became familiar with home building, by cleaning David’s construction sites.  During that time, Brian learned the meaning of work and like his father before him, developed a passion for home building.

Today, David and Brian build a limited number of luxury homes each year on premier Colorado home sites for discerning homeowners who require old world craftsmanship with modern comfort and functionality.
